Home Depot
3163 Fairlane Dr, Allen Park, MI
When it comes to Tree Removal, Trimming, Pruning & Stump Grinding in the Allen Park area, everybody knows that Home Depot is the #1 choice. It’s the go-to location for all things big and small when it comes to home repair and home improvement. Our Metro Detroit Tree Service crew knows that we can rely on this location for any last-minute purchases that are necessary for unexpected complications on the job. The customer service here is truly excellent, with a staff that is super attentive and very knowledgeable about everything that they have in stock. The location is a major perk too, right in the middle of everything near “The Hill” of Allen Park, and if you’re a local, you know what we mean when we say that! If not, we’re referring to the Fairlane Green area. There is also a convenient Downriver Home Depot location near Southland Mall.

Lowe’s Home Improvement
23111 W Outer Dr, Allen Park, MI
Lowe’s Home Improvement is typically Metro Detroit Tree Service’s second choice when in the Allen Park and Downriver area for any last-minute purchases, just because we have so much faith in Home Depot after so many years. Having said that, Lowe’s provides some incredibly stiff competition and they have an outstanding selection of appliances, gardening supplies, and tools, and they even have truck rentals in case that is something you’re in need of. Not only do they have virtually anything that you could ever need right here, but they also feature some truly mind blowing customer service, both from the regular employees and from the managers. They truly go out of their way to make sure that you get everything that you need and that you have the proper understanding of any project that you are undertaking.

Great Lakes Ace Hardware
15819 Southfield Rd, Allen Park, MI
Great Lakes Ace Hardware is a more old fashioned choice in the Downriver and Allen Park area, the type of place that’s been around for ages, and a bit more of a specialty shop. For household tools and supplies, you just can’t beat a place like this, and you don’t have to walk through the gargantuan aisles of a Home Depot, Lowe’s, or Menard’s just to get the few quick things that you need. The customer service is equally old fashioned, in the sense that they really take their time to speak with you and make sure that you have every single thing that you need. They are very smart and knowledgeable too, much more so than at the larger retailers, because they are so specialized and have been in the game for so long. Their hours are quite generous here too, so you can always count on them for your last minute needs!

Menard’s
Coming soon to the former location of Gibraltar Trade Center
Metro Detroit Tree Service’s final recommendation for a home improvement store in the Allen Park and Downriver area is Menard’s! At the time of this writing, the building is still being constructed, but likely by the time you read this, it will be firmly in place at the former location of Gibraltar Trade Center, near Southland Mall. This home improvement retail chain has been opening up more and more stores on the eastern side of Michigan in recent times, and boy are we ever glad about that! Their selection and layout is quite similar to the Home Depot and Lowe’s locations that you are already familiar with, but they also feature a grocery section so you can pick up some snacks or even that night’s dinner (one-stop shopping!), and they also have a larger lumber department than the others. A great addition to the Downriver area!
