Bloomfield Hills Home Improvement Stores

Lowe’s
1801 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills, MI
Let’s talk about one of the greatest home improvement stores out there, Lowe’s! This particular location is just perfect for our Metro Detroit Tree Service customers in the Bloomfield Hills area, located within city limits, and just so conveniently located on our favorite road to travel on, Telegraph Road. They have super generous hours here, so you’ll be able to get in and out either before or after work (major plus compared to the smaller hardware stores out there), and the fact that they are so huge with such well-stocked shelves means that they will certainly have whatever item it is that you are looking for. Geared more toward the residential or DIY customer as opposed to contractors, at least in comparison to Home Depot, as far as we are concerned. Excellent customer service and always service with a smile.

Great Lakes Ace Hardware
3271 South Blvd, Auburn Hills, MI
Metro Detroit Tree Service is always apt to recommend Great Lakes Ace Hardware locations because they have served us well over the years. There are locations all over the Michigan map, and if you’re a frequent shopper for hardware and home improvement products, you are likely already familiar with this family of stores. All Ace stores are worth visiting as far as we’re concerned, but the Great Lakes family of stores is our personal favorite and go-to, and this one on South Boulevard in nearby Auburn Hills should be your go-to as well, if you’re located in the Bloomfield Hills area. Not as generous with the hours as the bigger stores, but the specialized tool selection is outstanding and the customer service that you receive here is just off the charts when it comes to quality and courtesy. We love this place!

Home Depot
1177 Coolidge Hwy, Troy, MI
Then we come to Home Depot, which as we said above in the Lowe’s review, is a bit more geared toward contractors like us than to the residential or DIY crowd. Having said that, they are the largest home improvement retailer in the world, so clearly many residential/DIY customers do rely on them on a daily basis, and their quality and selection is surely just as outstanding as that of Lowe’s. We really do recommend them quite equally. It just depends on personal preference, so try them both out and see what you think. But if you’re in the Bloomfield Hills area, you really can’t beat the convenience of this Home Depot location in nearby Troy. Again, very good hours if you’re trying to beat the traffic rush or just get in or out of there before or after you clock in or out for the day. Wonderful appliance selection.

Restoration Hardware
2800 W Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI
Restoration Hardware is a unique one in nearby Troy, very convenient for our Bloomfield Hills area customers. They specialize in upscale home goods and gorgeous furniture, textiles, tableware, and so much more. This one’s more about furniture and the finishing touches once construction or renovation is over, but it’s a place that so many Metro Detroit Tree Service customers in this area rely on, so we couldn’t bear to leave it off our list of recommendations. The prices are indeed a bit steep, but you know you’re getting what you pay for when you shop at Restoration Hardware. Sometimes you do have to wait a good bit for things to be delivered, but everyone we’ve talked to said it’s worth the wait. They are open 10am-9pm most days and 12pm-6pm on Sundays, so quite generous hours for this type of store.
